| I remember seeing previews for this movie and thought to myself "This could be very intense." I rented and after the first 5 minutes I regretted it. The director, possibly about being artistic scene in his options, but the length of time that you use to shoot a whole film brings to a grinding halt every time something happens. When someone is being persecuted or if anyone is nervous that it may be a good idea to express that through editing hear more. Unlike stay focused on the shoes / feet / random dark room for more than 2 minutes. The entire film is riddled with gunfire that speaking does not appear on camera, by choosing a fence of shoes under the stairs instead. What would be good if the court says shoes / ladder was a key point later in the film. In addition, they will have a thriller about people who remain hostage to someone in your own home, we're going to use something more threatening than a golf club. There are only a couple of things that would have been exciting throughout the movie and are so far between those who can get up, go to the bathroom, grab a beer and not miss a single graphic element. |
| Wow, I can not believe it was this piece of dung outside. What a terrible movie, absolutely atrocious. What this has done is even beyond comprehension. I will admit that would not mind seeing the 2 "bad" children in this skinned alive after about 5 minutes late in their scam. Unfortunately, the 2 completely retarded clowns are not theirs, and the public is left in the balance. I would not lose money perfect either in the theater of this disaster, but I definitely would have left after 30 minutes and demanded my money back. How do things this way to see the light of day? All participants in this should be ashamed of themselves. One of the worst images that I have had the misfortune to see. Ranks up there alongside Nacho Libre as one of the worst films ever made! |

The times are perfect for this movie, the tension grows slowly and create in the viewer a sense of impatience, which can be attributed to excessive delays in some actions, but is the result of a deliberate right direction. | I have not seen Haneke's 1997 version of this movie otherwise I'm sure it would have avoided this because, as has been said, is a scene by scene copy. Basically, 'Funny Games U.S. "it is useless garbage. I noticed that many people liked it because it was different from the usual Hollywood movie. Well, I advise to look beyond Hollywood and found a bunch of movies that are different and good. Why opt for something bad only because you want something more? Others seem to find layers in the film that did not exist for me. "Funny Games U.S. ' is pretentious and garbage only good things about it are Naomi Watts and child actor Devon Gearhart. Both deliver performances very natural and are the only people you care about on the screen. The name of Watts is the main thing that convinced me to see this. Incredibly gifted actress who is, I enjoyed every one of his movies I've seen so far. What did he choose this movie? Anyway, 'Funny Games U.S. "is a sheer waste of time. |
| I had never heard of 'Funny Games' before I saw the trailer for the re-make of the original German. I was really hoping for a performance of the mill horror / thriller movie that entertains, but is forgettable. When he finally saw the movie my first reaction was afterwords, "What on earth happened?". The style of the film is almost as if you were looking through a window in the house where the 'Funny Games' are taking place. The camera has little movement, and sometimes there are scenes in which lengthly no cut at all. The film is definitely an art and film can be confusing to people expecting a big-budget Hollywood blockbuster. The films PROS: There is an excellent message sent through the film, about America's growing love to see horrible torture and gore on the big screen today. You do not pick up on it the first time you see, but you notice it is not so much a movie about a story of what a statement. There are also brilliant performances by Naomi Watts and the other co-stars. And some scenes are truly suspenseful! The films CONS: For people who are not prone to the understanding of the meaning hidden beneath art films immediately (like me) will feel confused, and somewhat frustrated. Sometimes it feels like you have to suffer through a 7-minute static shot of the room and its occupants are injured sobbing extends until you can get to an interesting situation. In general 'Funny Games' was an original experience, but one that really did not deliver a suspense filled' Mainstream 'performance. |
| Funny Games U.S., as we know it is a remake of the 1997 horror film is directed by the same person-Michael Haneke. The argument is that two young men have a mother, father and son hostage while on holiday in his cabin and forcing them to play sadistic "games". As the film progresses the different kinds of "games" are increasingly violent and terrible. One of the main and biggest fault in this film is the slow pace of certain scenes that were literally twenty-five minutes. An example of one of these scenes is where Ann (Watts) is trying to get up and go to the kitchen, but significant, because the arms and legs were taped up. So here we are at least ten minutes of a scene just by looking at trying to get Ann. She finally makes it to find a kitchen knife and cuts herself free. After you do that Ann accompanies her husband injured (Roth) who has broken his leg after being Whack by one of the men using a golf club. She moves in the kitchen, where Ann then looking for a phone to call the police, but the phone had been pushed into the sink before, in the film. And so that the fixing of proving that the phone has a more than ten minutes. They are not successful. Ann then leaves the window of the kitchen to find a pair of pliers in a greenhouse resulting in another five to ten minutes of slow and boring camera work. All in all the U.S. Funny Games is a serious failure and a painful experience that film is let down, mainly due to poor management. |
