| This was a very good action thriller that interests me everything. If you like it or Segal Keenan Ivory Wayans, is guaranteed to love this movie. Keenan Ivory Wayans comedy ever, while Segal added martial arts and fight to create a great movie. I strongly recommend that dilutes see the movie if you like the cast or gender! |
| This film has three things for this: one is Steven Seagal as a mystical character with a dark past which makes magical things, two Keenan Ivory Wayans as his partner, a man who cries while watching Casablanca, and three John M. Jackson (Adm. Chegwidden on JAG), as the bad guy. Wayans spends his time trying to figure out Seagal, while Segal is going after Jackson for killing his ex-wife. Anyone who has seen Seagal knows that killing his wife is a bad move, and we see here is that just as her former owner wanted. This is typical of martial arts action Segal. The addition of Wayans gives some comedy made the trip more enjoyable. I do not think, just sit back and enjoy. |
| The friend police are gender-CHOP-socky with Steven Seagal as a great mystic-CP teaming up with street smart detective Keenan Ivory Wayans (both of which as a smart-Alec as his younger brother Damon!) Nab a ruthless serial murderer in this action movie great. It takes the dark atmosheric elements of films like "Se7en" and combines with the raw material of the street Seagal's previous break "above the law." Other good production values, the chemistry between Seagal and Wayans is impressive. He has his characters along very well and fast, compared with the ratio of Mel Gibson's Riggs and Danny Glover the Murtaugh, which took quite a while to blend together! Wayans is funny and clever as usual, and it's great to see Seagal's own sense of humor. I thought I would never see that kind smile! |
| This is one of the last good Seagal movies. You do not have a lot of good action of the scene Seagal and Wayans and make a solid team. The shooting was solid and at the end of the fight scene is cool too. This film ranks with a state of siege, above the law, for justice, and marked for death as the best Seagal movie. Fire Down Below is too decent and was officially watchable Seagal's latest film, but one ranks up there with his best. Not his lethal weapon or 48 hours when a friend police thriller, but its still solid. 4 / 5 |
| In Viet Nam it was called "The Glimmer Man." As a police homicide that we all tend to think of it as a problem. A renegade police in New York (Steven Seagal) with a not-so-perfect background shifts to LA, where his actions make him a prime suspect in a series of murders. It takes time for the soft spoken, new era police to obtain the respect of their partner (Kennan Ivory Wayans). Typical of violence with strong rhythm and displays of martial arts. Not much different from any other Seagal film, but not as good as some. |
| Jack Cole is a soft spoken, mystical, new age New York police with a strong past. He was transferred to Los Angeles to help Los Angeles police Jim Campbell solve a series of brutal murders in which victims are crucified. The murders that have happened since Jack arrived in Los Angeles just does not sit right with him. When the murderer, known as the "Family Man", kills Ellen Dunleavy, who becomes Jack's ex-wife and mother of his two sons and husband of Ellen Andrew Dunleavy, it becomes personal - especially when Jack's prints found in the body of Ellen. Jack meets with his military mentor Smith, not knowing that Smith is in cahoots with local crime boss Frank Deverell .... basically, when you start watching the movie as the credits roll, you may be mistaken that this is a hybrid of the previous years, hit 'Se7en'. we have rain, the temperamental credits and a serial murderer, killing people in a strange way. Seagal then comes on the screen, and becomes a lethal weapon hybrid. this movie should have been so bad, but it is Seagals last great film of the nineties, with thanks to Wayans, who has excellent chemistry with the initiative. There are a few plot holes and problems of continuity, but the fight scenes are great and Seagal has shown the moves. with good support from Cox and some powder stags certain anatomy, this is a nice movie on Friday night, nothing more. |
