| This film is very good - but only for the near future fans of science fiction and non-mainstream films. If action was expected from Hollywood who is then better to rent one of the millions of clones of action in their local store for DVD. To begin with, the atmosphere near future is excellent - grubby, seedy, and it is not utopia by the fantasy of Hollywood enjoyed. The former eastern bloc perfect world architecture and filmmaking is a world of contrasts. This film pays a lot of attention to detail - the scene of fashion and places in particular. The cyber-punk aspects are not too pleasant. The plot is not hard to follow (I do not know what the critics are whining about, maybe we should stick with plots on TV), even if it is a standard revenge-type thing. My only objection would be some of the fighting weapon - a bit of spaghetti westerns for my taste and a bit unreal. I thought the acting was excellent and all the characters portrayed well - especially the gangsters. Women are particularly beautiful and sultry. Not sure what the fuss is nudity, which is not a big deal and I plan to do with taste. The underground scenes are very cool and I also rate the entire musical score too - it would be excellent soundtrack. |
| Who are the people saying this movie is good? I am a huge fan Rutger And Dacascos, which is why this clunker of rent! Let this serve as a warning to others: Rent at your own risk! The plot, which is senseless, it is thin some areas, and so convoluted in others, you feel like you're on a roller coaster. The film begins on a tepid note and limps along. There are so many questions unanswered. Of course, there's nudity and gratuitous violence that all these low-budget Stinkers throw to try to hide the fact that there is no plot. The murderer nude scene just screams "desperate attempt". The performance, if you want to call it, was mediocre at best. Dacascos and Rutger tend to be very good in their roles. I am sure the fact that there was a terrible history of the line of work do not help to look better. Both of these actors seem as if they were valium and just flying on autopilot. Everyone in this movie has the emotional range of an android that the batteries are getting low. The female lead is bad acting a whole new meaning. It seems that these low-budget Eastern European "movies" just throw everything together. Anyone who needs work and is ready to throw his reputation (past, present or future) can make a quick buck by appearing at work or in films such as this pathetic! Lousy, underacted, confusing, induce sleep ...... This movie would have earned a zero option that had been available. |
