Derry, Maine is a quiet town, terrorized every 30 years by a horror known only as 'It'. The only victims of 'It' are children. Through the form of a clown named Pennywise, 'It' wakes up every 30 years and feeds. The adults of Derry act like 'It' doesn't happen. Ironically they know about 'It', but the events are too horrible to talk about. Seven outcasts, know as The Lucky Seven, Bill, Ben, Beverly, Eddie, Richie, Mike, and Stan are able to defeat 'It' as children and make a pact to return and do battle again should the terror return. Now 30 years later, Mike Hanlon who stayed behind, is puzzled by a bizarre occurance of child murders. When he discovers that 'It' has come back, he reunites what's left of The Lucky Seven, now in their middle ages to do battle once again, and 'It' is ready. The Lucky Seven must now defeat 'It' and cure Derry of 'The Derry Disease'.

This must be my night of films Tim Curry. What makes this movie so good, like the best films of King's books, is that it seems to translate well to the mini-series of events. The screenplay is excellent and the story is frightening. What happens in the city of Derry, Maine every thirty years, when children start going missing and adults do not even seem to notice. The answer lies in the storm drains under the city and a band of children manage to be the first to escape the terror in the dark. However, the scars of their experience, as his memories of the event are eliminated and not return until thirty years later when it was called back to Derry by the only one who stayed behind, librarian of the city, to finish what we started thirty years earlier. Especially in his big role was Tim Curry as Pennywise the Clown (from hell), which was so in his shooting hand during the rest of the cast avoided it. A good combination (both adult and child casts) and the excellent adaptation to this very watchable film.

It's the movie, is a follow-up of the famous book "It". (written by Stephen King) The clown does the work of secretive that some of the most intense scenes. This film also has some big stars like John Ritter and Tim Reid. The effects were quite good. The dialogue is the clown of fear and fun, it really keeps you in character. Everything else is great except that the end is far from what I expected. (This is just my opinion) So all in all, is a good thriller / comedy. Do not expect much, though. But if you enjoyed the book so I give this a rent. 6 / 10 decent

I think Tim Curry is at his best as Pennywise the Clown. This is one of his best performances ever in my book. His best performance was the hotel doorman in the movie Home Alone 2 Lost in New York. As for TI I will say that he's not the best, as the clown. I read somewhere that the clown suit wearing was so horrible and realistic that he (Tim Curry) was averted all during the production of the film. I'm afraid to look through my picture book, as it could come to life and jump on me. It also would have to say that the clown Pennywise really scared the living hell of me the first time I saw him. As for the other players, I was surprised to see Richard Thomas and John Ritter together again. I remember seeing the Waltons and had no idea they were there. Well, all I have to say is do not see this movie at night because then you probably will have nightmares. I think Bill's wife is fine. So with that I will sign and say that float down here.

Not everyone does not realize how bad this movie sucks? It's a terrible, terrible, despicable display of everything that Stephen King has done. If you really think that this movie is good, I only tracks on the fact that you have never read the book. Pick it up, you never want to see this movie lame again.
