| Hollywood seriously needs to stop making prequels / sequels of Jim Carrey movies without Jim Carrey. Sequels that lack puts his original work ever. Unfortunately, Troy Miller, the director of this swill, do not learn that lesson. The Farrelly brothers (writers / directors of the original movie) were very, very careful not to get involved. The first movie was stupid-funny. Considering that this movie is so stupid-stupid. Save your money people, and their time. True, these two young actors look a bit like Jim and Jeff. But that is simply not enough. The magic is gone. Zero stars. Crap. Hogwash. Nonsense. Boring. Teeny-Bopper "comedy." | Dumb and Dumberer lives up to its title, is a fool. This film is supposed to be a Prequel to the smash comedy dumb and Dumber with Jeff Daniels and Jim Carey. But this movie can not be related to the first film, is a total disgrace. The players have to play the young Harry and Lloyd look nothing like the players are far and Dumber in this movie, the adults do Lloyd and Harry look smart! The plot is useless with a bad principal played by Eugene Levy and her lover in the cafeteria lady scam to the planning of school money to go to an island paradise by creating a fake special needs class to get a load of money in cash. Wow, what a bore. Jokes, now here comes the juicy part, is guess what ... not funny! Lloyd and Harry get brain freezes are not fun, Lloyds dream sequence is not funny, Lloyd fell in love with Harry is stupid mama, the museum sequence, mustard note, the meeting of the two stars ... they are all stupid! There is only one funny joke and movies redemptive Bob Saget is Sh ** all over the bathroom walls. It has a good laugh. Dumb and Dumberer is the big 2, and why not have one because he was one of Bob Saget. Thank you Bob, but you can not save this mess. Avoid at all costs and pass this movie, you will not regret it. |
| Okay, the first silent movie and Dumber (Jim Carrey comedy) is absolutely HILARIOUS. This Prequel travels back in time, narrating the story (really dumb!) Students from high school Lloyd and Harry, that shows when and how they became friends. Surely it is not a masterpiece, and it is nothing compared to the original movie, but it really made me laugh out loud several times. And that is what we should do a comedy .... make you laugh! And this movie did. All the actors do their job very well, and the two main actors (if completely unknown to me before seeing this movie) played the original role of Carrey and Jeff Daniels smoothly. It's very funny to see Eugene Levine, the father of Jim in "American Pie" trilogy, playing the school principal. This is a simple, fun movie, and I strongly recommend to those who want to spend a pleasant afternoon. It's good if you've worked all day and wants to relax. I do not think it is as bad as many people have said so far. If you want to know what a horrible (but really horrible) looks like the movie, just about "shout If you know what I did last Friday the 17th". Dumb and dumberer Oscar is a value in comparison with him! |
| Let me start with the good points, or should I say point. so here it is, the people cast in the roles of Harry and Lloyd (I forget their names) that actually mimic some of the elements of the great Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, and for the first ten minutes or it could be forgiven for thinking the movie could be improved. OK, now the bad, I'm going to keep it simple. The story is weak, the gags are rare, very tired and not only are fun. Most of the cast are terrible, and the title of the film describes the director and producer over what this junk bonds to the original Dumb and Dumber. | This is absolutely the worst movie I've ever seen. I can not believe that not even occurred. Seeing this movement used quality time that I could have been using to watch the wind blow in place. Actually, I did this a bit anyway, while watching this in the drive-in. Do not pay to see this - it is more likely to be on the television network soon. |
| I saw the movie in the theaters I liked but was not as good as the first of these is perhaps the reason for all is that Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were not in it. but other than that it was good that it was not as funny as the first. Also the players who are in it are not very good, but the story is good the script is really good the way Harry and Lloyd meet is very funny, but my only wish was when I heard of this movie is that Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels will be in it, but to the poor is still good but not the best, in my opinion, if Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels that would have been much more fun. I have also heard that Jim Carrey said he hoped that no at the box office and did so. Jim Carrey do not see sequels as Ventura sense when nature calls do not know why but they do not. | Let's face it, if you went into a restaurant and ordered a sandwich and sh * t is precisely that, can you honestly complain about what they got? Dumb and Dumberer is just that. The title sums it and they really should not expect anything other than garbage when you sit down to see him. That said, I am surprised to see that in the bottom 100 of the lists of IMDb. It is not bad, but I'm sure there are many films well above what they deserve their place in the bottom much, much more. Dumberer dumb and never hope to compete with its predecessor, but its not really worse than any other teen-comedy-high school nonsense. If the original movie was not done, then this would not have a come anywhere near the bad press it has. But, unfortunately, has not been, and therefore this movie fall into oblivion as many ill-conceived sequels, destined to be forgotten, or spoken with ill-concealed contempt when more than evoke the original movie. The best way to see this film (if you have to at all) is to try to forget the character Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels made his own, and view it as if the first film that had never happened. In addition, the console while you see that there are some bloopers tacked on the end that highlights the unfunny comedy in this movie, although its not really worth seeing the film just for them. You could then get to enjoy a movie otherwise bland. In short then, their evil, but it really does not deserve a place in the worst 100 of IMDb. |
