| Desperado (1995) was great fun and budgeted version of Desperado. Robert Rodriguez has fun with the film and the characters of El Mariachi. Antonio Banderas stars as the legendary The Mariachi, Salma Hayyek while co-stars as his love interest. Cheech Marin, Danny Trejo, Steve Buscemi and Quentin Tarantino are among the other stars who make guest appearances. The Mariachi is hiding in another small town in the desert. He is becoming a legendary guard who remains the pursuit of justice for his dead girlfriend. He has a partner (Steve Buscemi) that helps you find the ones that were connected to the head of the first film. During one of his hits, hired a weapon of another crime within the family comes into town (Danny Trejo). It also fits the description of El Mariachi (a little). A book dealer premises (Salma Hayek) crosses paths with the legendary crime fighter. Who is the man behind all of El Mariachi of sadness? Why is it so desperate that just anyone trying to crush crime in the area? How does it for himself? Is that good? To find the answers to all these questions that you just have to see Desperado. A fun associated with the second EL MARIACHI. Unlike most sequels, there is no need to see the first movie to enjoy this. It's just a fun movie that will burn some time. Enjoy! Highly recommended. |
| I found this very entertaining movie, it contains a lot of action, humor and a fresh soudtrack. Antonio Banderas plays an army of a man who sets out to avenge the death of his wife and shoot someone who gets in their way. He is an invincible killing machine that is capable of defeating a large number of enemies, despite being more numerous. Summary: Guitar game gunman The Mariachi (Antonio Banderas) is determined to pursue a ruthless drug lord of named Bucho (Joaquim de Almeida) to avenge the murder of his wife. Visit a seedy bar (Cheech Marin is very funny as the bartender) for information that soon erupts into a shooting because staff and customers are in collusion with Bucho and refuse to give in. Then he meets a woman named Carolina ( Salma Hayek), who falls for him, gets into many more crazy shootouts, and finally tracks down Bucho at his ranch. If you are in the mood for a cool, stylish action film Desperado then will not disappoint you! You can not compare this film to any story-driven masterpiece like The Godfather, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver etc, but is perfect for someone who loves shoot'em'up mindless action movies! |
| 90, a real cowboy movie, everyone who saw The Mariachi could foresee that this picture would have the concept to the top. Quick, far shot, edited amazingly, this movie refuses to itself seriously and is well made in the. Antonio Banderas is the perfect Mariachi, adding a new fund for the first film's main character. He seeks revenge. Revenge for all the things they did to him. And going to get there, how easy or how difficult. Fellow Portuguese Joaquim de Almeida is Bucho, the villain, whose relationship with El Mariachi is quite surprising near the end. Until both are met, there will be much gun-slinging action to fill the screen with scenes anthological, such as the bar fight, the "Stay here" and the song final showdown. The film is a comedy, even in action scenes. I guarantee, is two hours of fun and a visible influence of B-movies and Westerns in the talent of someone. Cracking good fun, it becomes addictive. | I have not seen anything of Rodrigues and Banderas until the movie and this was really a reason for it became much more surprised. This is a movie you enjoy more than ever before to do because every time you pick up some direction or acting on excellence in the film. movements, the camera work, the fight sequences and acting (which is perhaps the least with regard to an action movie, but in this movie is one of the assets of the film) everything is too good. This is by far the best efforts of 90 and it is not surprising that the action sequences in this movie are still being copied around the world, even after 10 years. | I would not say that "Desperado" is unwatched but do not deserve a second vision for me. I saw that it was on TV and stayed up to watch, and then wondered why I bothered. Late "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" in a cocked hat in terms of plot, but the screen is based on the presence of Antonio Banderas, Steve Buscemi and others to keep the audience interested. The shootings are ridiculous, with rounds of spraying on villains as sprinkler hose and the good guys banging with them shot after shot. It reminded me of the "Team A" television series, although Hannibal sharing and cooperation on the poor aim of the bad guys. One word sums up this movie. "Overkill." Too many guns, too casual and not kill enough snappy dialogue. He also had a disappointing climax that makes it appear that the producers can not afford another bloody and spectacular set piece to finish it off. |
| After seeing The Mariachi, it's easy to see the improvement in production values between the two. Not surprisingly, considering the difference in the price of the two films. But, as I noted in my review The Mariachi, the money is not everything. Although visually better, Desperado benefits of better actors who bring more life to the characters. The overall effect, given other reasonable plot, is a much more polished looking film that deservedly made, as well as he did at the box office. The above plot is essentially the same as the first film when it boils down - the Mariachi ends up killing a bunch of no-good drug traffickers and warlords and so on - and there is an obligation of love interest. But, although very similar, this movie is more enjoyable because of its overall finish and style. I originally saw this movie some years ago, long before I came to see the original El Mariachi, so I guess I'm a little biased in who prefer a present to the first in which Banderas is the Mariachi in I was interested. However, in order not to damage the first film, which tells us the early history of Mariachi, and is a decent movie in its own right. Desperado is good, though sometimes a bit bloody, fun. There is nothing to analyze too much, just enjoy. If you have a chance to see the original, then this one and things are made much more sense. Desperado have enough back story woven into it to be an independent film, but the overall experience is better to see both at once. |
