Jim Belushi is great as the "Average Joe", which gets its 15 minutes in "The Twilight Zone". Michael Cane is the mysterious bar tender that not only listens to Belushi of "history", but has a "cure" for all Belushi of the middle class of problems: a magic potion to bring an avalanche of changes in the lives of Belushi . Flashbacks show a 15-year-old horribly ashamed of causing her High School baseball team's defeat of the Championship. Belushi takes her "miserable life", apparently happy, but always ask "what if ..." For what appears to be several days, Belushi experience a "different" life, a huge success, admired and hated by others in equal measure. This is not quite "It's a wonderful life," but some elements are similar, and very endearing. The "ending" is predictable, but still satisfactory. Look for a very young Cortney Cox in a bit part as "fatal attraction" as another woman. A very nice movie!

Everyone has their part very well in this "nice little movie." Belushi has a chance to live a different part of his life but ends up realizing that what was going to be as good or even better. The Mr. Destiny Fantasy film shows us that we must seize the opportunities we have, not those who can not or do not have. If U can get this movie: Mr. Destiny on video of about $ 10, which had an investment!

Belushi at his most ingratiating and Courtney Cox before me had a small role. I often think Belushi is under-used in Hollywood and this Mr. Destiny movie is a paper of his best. For those of you who see his TV show, this is a very different and pleasant character. The DVD movie Mr. Destiny itself is not earth shattering, nor is the new message, but it is sweet and endearing. The supporting cast of familiar faces and names unknown is a perfect balance, but Lovitz's whining can get boring, and Michael Caine charm of the spiritual guide has some sinister if not well-meaning edge. Hamilton, as Belushi's wife is, unfortunately, in two dimensions and one wonders why he married her. In addition, Rene Russo is wasted and not terribly convincing in the "queen" to be outside. However, a pleasant way to spend two hours.
