| I discovered this thriller in the U.S. charts and when I saw the trailer I thought it was not bad. And it really worked! It has many twists and turns and a piece of suspense. My expectations have been met. Kevin Bacon, Charlize Theron and especially Dakota Fanning girls are great. The soundtrack is very good. If you liked this DivX film Trapped I highly recommend "Do not Say A Word" is a little better than this or "rescue". I will add a DVD in the best of my collection. My wife and I will give you 7 / 10. |
| Caught on TV and thought this was worth a look. Another kidnapping movie, but this time there are 3 kidnappers kidnapping 3 different people in different places 3. At the heart of the demands of the kidnappers (Bacon and Love) is a ransom of $ 250,000. We discovered these kidnappers have done before and are very well organized, until the girl (Fanning) begins to have an asthma attack. From here things are going crazy and everybody must make sure that KIT I'm interested, but some scenes too frustrating ending an acrimonious trash what could have been a real winner. |
| First (1987) "Fatal Attraction" was released, when James Dearden (writer) shows us how to protect ourselves from the fear of HIV: Family. Then, other films have to do with the fear of an unknown terror that interrupts the happiness of the family ( "The hand that rocks the cradle", "One Hour Photo," "Rescue," illegal entry "and so on. ) Same old story in this movie. The kidnappers are just stupid (in his usual psycho Bacon portrait, Courtney Love is trying to act), "family hug" can save us from all dangers and father (another stupid character) to decide land his plane in the middle of the road does not seem to care how many people would kill just to save his daughter! This disaster scene at the end destroys everything in the film. Although Theron (little reaction to it) to learn that we can back a knife to save his life! |

Otherwise, if they had stuck to the basic plot, this could have been a nice little thriller, especially because, on average, the performance was quite good (especially Charlize Theron and Kevin Bacon). As usual, for some reason the producers of Hollywood (or directors) believe it is necessary to fill up with tons of unnecessary subplots films most of the time, and add minutes ridiculous "action scenes" that usually make movies look unreal and the amazing audience.
