A rare atmospheric phenomenon allows a New York City firefighter to communicate with his son 30 years in the future via short-wave radio. The son uses this opportunity to warn the father of his impending death in a warehouse fire, and manages to save his life. However, what he does not realize is that changing history has triggered a new set of tragic events, including the murder of his mother. The two men must now work together, 30 years apart, to find the murderer before he strikes so that they can change history—again.

I loved this movie simply because it did what it was supposed to - I entertain. The way in which past and present were blended perfectly so that it was not a distraction and the plot was good enough to keep me watching. The final was a surprise, I really thought the race against time would be lost in this one, but it pulls together in a credible way, without breaking step back, ends with a wonderful triumphant moment. A good family film, some may need that box of tissues near the end.

I absolutely loved seeing this movie. It has all the elements to keep the question, "What will happen next" and ends when you do not want to be happy if you just kept going and going and going. A great movie. Dennis Quaid - It seems that every time I see a movie with Dennis Quaid in it - I can not guarantee it will be worth seeing. How long has been overlooked Dennis? It's fabulous. It should be up there with Harrison, Tom and the rest. Why not get the exposure that some of the other stars are receiving. He is very good. And the other main actor in the movie, bravo to you. What a difference in attitude at the end of the film. Well, very good.

If you like action, this movie has it. If you like science fiction, this movie has it. If you like drama, this movie has it. This film is a good bet for anyone. Your date of a film, a sci-fi thriller, and has some good action scenes. As far as the plot goes, frequency is a time paradox revolves around a father's death, a murder mystery of the aurora borealis, and'69 of the World Series. I will not spoil the end, but the culmination of everything is nothing short of mind-blowing. As an added bonus, Garth Brooks "In a sentence" is an amazing song that you can find absolutely no place in stores, but appears in this movie.
