| While in the hospital for a CT scan of the brain of her autistic daughter Sarah (Skye Bennett), Ben (Noah Huntley) becomes annoyed when a power outage. He decided to leave the hospital with Sarah, while the nurse Emily (Dominique McElligott) tries to convince him to leave Sarah for further treatment. They get the elevator with three other passengers, and suddenly the elevator stops, when the door opens, people have disappeared from the hospital, the environment is rare, and are pursued by evil monsters. They find they are trapped in the hospital, and the creatures seemed to be hunting Sarah. "Dark Floors" is a strange and rare trip to a troubled mind of an autistic child. The dark story is intriguing and has a promising start, but the conclusion is disappointing. The performance of Skye Bennett, the disquieting atmosphere and the special effects are the plus of this movie, Emily is a good character and performed by Dominique McElligott, however, it is impossible to feel empathy for the lead and made an important by Noah Huntley . | The idea of the movie is (as I see it) a continuous loop, where they can not escape except to die when the story starts from the beginning, again and again. In the movie a lot of people (the father and the girl also autistic) enters into an elevator. While there, comes a power outage at all sudden. When the elevator door opens, which will enter into a whole different time dimension, where time has passed for many years ahead, but did not go further. While in the movie are many of their signs themselves in another dimension of time. Once the father is some sort of a wormhole, where they can come and see the world is in reality, but it is still not the real thing. He can see the reality, but not touching. At the end of the movie, when the whole world, but the girl is dead, which starts from the beginning, with only minor differences. And that is what makes the movie good. If you have a story, it would not be such a good movie. The film parts are not in a creepy monsters, is what we have left behind. The content of this movie would be the despair and misery. I would recommend this movie for those who understand horror movies, not for those who see in them the hope of fun and a happy ever after endings. |
| I must say, though parts of this movie will leave you thinking, I can not find me in this type of film less. It seems that there was a budget acceptable, the effects are not bad at all, although I remember at points of the hill in silence ... it was something in his own (I do not think it really is rip off). It really is going to stop thinking, and maybe that what is proposed for. Through the theory that I think the movie was very creative (though a little more information would have been slightly better). Some say because it is a band that made the movie and the main monster named after that ... it was just publicize shameful, but did not have any urges to buy something in the CD final. I did not know he had anything to do with a band until I read about it later. I say, give it a chance and you might like him. If you do not have (or know how to enjoy, I must say) B-movies ... then I would say walk away. This film is not intended to be the next success. If they see it as a B-movie, and they know how to enjoy these types of films for various reasons / benefits ... then I am sure you will agree that for a B-movie, this movie was really great kind.
