| I saw this Confessions from a Holiday Camp film in 1977, aged 21, stoned, sitting up the back of the Odeon in Kensington High Street, with some friends, the consumption of snuff. And laughed. We laughed a lot actually. See it on DVD in my living room in the house, aged 52, on a cold Friday night, by myself - and, surprise, surprise, there was no more fun. Not only is their time, but also his place in history. It is cheap, written without much imagination, not real and laughs with some (by 2008 standards) cringe-inducing racism and sexism. But for all that, like the doctor and Carry On films, it's easy to see and has a fascinating charm of all that Britain's own. I suppose that the appeal at its basic level - is simple. | This Confessions from a Holiday Camp Comedy film is really quite horrible, and some of the characters made me cringe! very poor performance, address, etc., could learn a thing or two from the 'Follow' movies. Is not better than any of the others' Confessions'films, I just saw the end to read the credits - there were some familiar faces, what happened to the child actor, I wonder. His name was Robert Booth? I noticed that the train station had "Hayling" in which, perhaps Hayling Island? Anyone who knows the camp that was filmed in? Its the usual slap and tickle, animated by guests of John Junkin, Colin Crompton and Lance Percival (whose role seems to have been written by Kenneth Williams!). Liz Fraser and Linda Hayden returned as different characters. Top marks to the cast to throw themselves into the part with abandon. It could not have been easy to be filmed in bikinis and swim trunks in March. "Confessions of a plumber's Mate" was planned, but Columbia shut down DivX Movie Confessions from a Holiday Camp production in the UK and was unmade, wet Timmy's ardor for good. Those who call the 'Confessions' DVD film Confessions from a Holiday Camp should take a look at the' Adventure series, we were really terrible.
