Out in California's San Fernando Valley, Isabel is trying to reinvent herself. A naive, good-natured witch, she is determined to disavow her supernatural powers and lead a normal life. At the same time, across town, Jack Wyatt a tall, charming actor is trying to get his career back on track. He sets his sights on an updated version of the beloved 1960s situation comedy Bewitched, re-conceived as a starring vehicle for himself in the role of the mere-mortal Darrin. Fate steps in when Jack accidentally runs into Isabel. He is immediately attracted to her and her nose, which bears an uncanny resemblance to the nose of Elizabeth Montgomery, who played Samantha in the original TV version of Bewitched. He becomes convinced she could play the witch Samantha in his new series. Isabel is also taken with Jack, seeing him as the quintessential mortal man with whom she can settle down and lead the normal life she so desires. It turns out they're both right—but in ways neither of them ever imagined.

Now, what were these people thinking? Bewitched, the television series, was so adorable, but this film was simply GARBAGE! What story are trying to say here? It seemed like the writers not only have an idea of where this thing was going ... just jumped all over the place and then ended. I just can not imagine how I am released. It's really an insult to the late Elizabeth Montgomery delicious! I was expecting a 2-hour version of a TV-like episode, with a nice, updated history, and some laughs, but this is not just cute, not funny, and even the talented Will Ferrell could not save it. The only nice thing in the whole film was the wink of Shirley MacLaine that she too was a "real" witch. Otherwise, Ugh.

Nora and Delia Ephron, who were their pencils and their megaphone. You stink! The film ends May sink the career of Nicole if you do not watch out. Fortunately, she was the only thing worth seeing in this unfunny mess. Will Ferrell is the Chevy Chase of his generation, just do not have anything like the family holiday movies to save it. Every line, every idea for this movie falls flat on its face. It is as if the players were told to just say and do whatever they want, on the ground. This is the last movie I will pay good money to see for a very long time. And I thought "The Stepford Wives" is tedious. About half through this hole that I began to see the bottom of my shoes, just for some relief. Spend their money in "Cinderella Man" and avoid any kind of comedies this year. They are cranking out in Hollywood, and sitcoms look much better in comparison. In fact, if this had not Ms Kidman star, it would have gone straight to video. Nicole, fire your agent!

Words can not describe how horrible this movie is. Even children and old ladies sitting behind me could not find anything funny or appealing in this film. I stayed through the whole thing from start to finish, indicating that hope springs eternal, but, to my dismay, the cause is hopeless. Given a charming premise was-and time-tested story, this film could have shot the movie heaven. As it is written, it bounces along the rocky bottom of the poor puns, writing sad and disastrous leadership, which ends in a horrible hole in the history of cinema. According to the instructions, the dialogue is boring, both the hero and heroine lack of intelligence and perspicacity, the sight gags are not funny, and the characters are not interesting. Michael Caine is the only bright spot in this sordid affair, and can even carry only a faint glow to this disaster. Will Ferrell is, well, Will Ferrell, and that is probably not a good thing. It's sad to think that the bad writing and directing could be so bad a warp Shirley MacLaine performance. Unfortunately, his performance was really terrible. If Nicole Kidman's constant twitching of his nose is any indication, she, too, should know that this movie sucks.
