| I do not get all the negative attention of this movie is receiving. I really enjoyed it. This could cause the fact that I spent some of my youth on the mushrooms myself, and I understand. The "travel" the characters are extremely realistic! Anyone who has experienced "shrooms" should see this, you'll be amazed. There's more to this film drug, also full of suspense and made me jump a few times. It has a very interesting story, great casting and filming is fantastic. They also enjoy a lot of the humor in the movie. My point: I do not believe everything you read, see this movie for you, I think we will find it very entertaining. |

| Shrooms is reduced to its basic level, is your standard Slasher Film. A group of young heads in a forest in Ireland, which shows the magic mushrooms to get high. While learning from a ghost story with a local school for children, led by monks, where young people horrible fate suffered at the hands of the black-robed monks. Soon, young people are being Stalked in the wood by a black-robed figure ... The twist here is that because they have magic mushrooms, and are on a high from them, are not quite sure if everything is real or not .... Is that twist in the proceedings, which makes the difference here. Without this just be your basic, standard Slasher Film. However, like most of the slashers, unfortunately, is not really frightening. He has a couple of things loom as a shock jump in sight and such, but there is really an atmosphere of fear in the film. The cast is not well, though the characters are a bit cliche. The script is not working, but the director, Paddy Breathnach not well with the material. However ..... what saves the film is the final, which I liked. Not the most original has to be said, but good. It's nice to see a horror movie of Ireland for a change, although most of the cast are American, although I wish they had done better. It is not the worst of horror movies this year, but unfortunately is not one of the best. |
