| This brilliant actor is so reminiscent of Alec Guinness, sinking into their roles so well and in this film with the fusion of nature, every inch of flattery fussy with other programs on the side and a secret past. I do not care for Jamie Lee Curtis usually the executions, it seems to me that his fragile, with no depth, but here it shines with a light sense of humor and a feminist consciousness and loyalty that brings a real authenticity to the role. marriage portrayed here is very credible, charming of the many nuances and adapt the same fussilly tends to twist her daughter's hair and make sure that children go to school on time. Enter Pierce Brosnan, who portrays a terrible cad here. You can say that Relish the opportunity to play a certain unsophisticate, preying on any woman who crosses her path. | In this Fahrenheit 9 / 11 on the atmosphere back to seeing this movie seems to me a lot to admire not because of his incendiary political commentary, but the skill of its design and its relevance, which is the sign of a movie that I hope endure. Ignoring the politics, for a moment, there is not much to see in the rapid Boorman edition, interaction of farce and tragedy and the ability to summarize a very complex story with telling detail. He draws impressive performances from his actors (aside from the ever-annoying Jamie Lee Curtis). Brosnan turns a bewilderingly but in the end his roguish charm has been shed to reveal the horror of the man beneath, which Geoffrey Rush credible exploitation and pathetic. It ranks along with the killing fields and Savior (I am sure that I have forgotten many other worthy examples), as one of my favorite angry anti-war, anti-interventionism movies where the argument justifying the intelligence is not enough the rich and powerful states have no right to interfere, at least, unless your motives are purer than self-interest. On the other hand, is a great human drama with the country that serves as a backdrop used with great effect to highlight the human tragedy that played inside. See and enjoy, but you can find the first 10-15 minutes until it difficult to have settled the style - is definitely worth seeing a second. |
| When I read the back of the box about this movie, I am quite impressed. The way it was described, as Pierce Brosnan was somewhat soft, elegant British secret agent. I thought, "That sounds familiar," and then, all the obvious conclusion revealed itself. This is a description of a bond MOVIE. I did not want to see a Bond cheap call-off, but was forced to see the protests against me. I'm glad that was shot down, as I was pleasantly surprised to find Brosnan is neither smart nor smooth. His lewd, inappropriate, tasteless and comments made the film for me. This is a case of being wrong, but rejoices. The story, well, I remember very little of that. I do not think that is important. Geoffrey Rush know something about some secrets of politicians, because it's his tailor, or some of these. The important thing is the rude comments from Brosnan. Look for that. |

It stuck with me - the images of Geoffrey Rush as the tailor, his wife of America - an apparent mistmatch in casting - but effective and Anti James Bond played with just the right amount of corpulence .... See it - sweat - a good performance, strong local, and a plot that serves to entertain well and ends well to lampoon America. |
| This film is probably one of the best arguments ever made against the peace espianoge. LeCarre satire is so strong because it is very realistic. Geoffrey Rush is brilliant as always and Pierce Brosnan has never been a better performance. Brendan Gleeson, star of Boorman latest masterpiece, The General, has a nice supporting role. Very cynical, but very fun. |
| The seductive, of course, is played by Pierce Brosnan that hooks to the time that any woman can fall within its scope that includes air hostesses, co-spies and even friends'wives. But the movie is a bit more serious than this. After a first hand rather tepid and uninteresting that gains speed, action and rhythm in the second one. The story takes place after Noriega in Panama in a whirlwind of political intrigue, conspiring in secret, passion, corruption, deceit, betrayal and lust in which a more or less well intentioned and honest British citizen, the medium itself as half a spy is caught with his lovely wife. In this interesting story quite well served by a good cast of actors. |

Harry Pendel (Geoffrey Rush), tailor to royalty, is one of many members of the Panamanian Society of tall, and a proud partner of Pendel and Braithwate. At least, the man known to his friends. Harry is actually the nephew of a British tailor, a former prisoner through his uncle Benny of the insurance scam, thousands of dollars in debt, and, against their will, a spy for Her Majesty. Andrew Osnard (Pierce Brosnan), is the man of MI6 in Panama, and the delivery boy for the death of Harry and life lie. In exchange for the money Harry has to provide the information. Unfortunately, the drunken man of promise, a time of the revolutionaries just is not enough. So, using his inherited "fluidity" and "Rock of the eyes," as his uncle Benny said, that creates a flow of lies, but the boys back home to buy, and Harry has to choose between Panama, or his good name. Also starring Jamie Lee Curtis, and outside counsel Jurassic Park, this movie is a modern classic, both in print and on film. WATCH IT !!!!!! |
