| My husband retail Drama in college. There he learned that the difference between a Galaxy Quest movie and a mediocre one is the ability of history to the care of the characters. You can see that if we really could care less what happens to people in the Galaxy Quest Adventure that can have all kinds of tragedies that befall them have little or no effect on the audience. Conversely, if you really like, and even to love the characters in the DVD film Galaxy Quest then what happens to them will affect you deeply. And that is the difference between good and bad performance. As much as I enjoyed the satire of this movie, I also felt a tug on my true feelings about the situation of the characters in Galaxy Quest: The players have been reduced to opening Super Markets because the only success that has been known this show, the aliens who confuses fantasy from reality. Apparently, there is something melancholy in all of us want to believe. The actors who play aliens Saris deserve special recognition for their work. The writers who had the idea. The director saw that foreigners were so adorable. All deserve special thanks for a good yarn. I also hope that this DVD movie Galaxy Quest will win due recognition with the passage of time. |
| Although it is a comedy that was almost all Treks Star Trek movies, with a better argument and better written. The laughs are continuous and dramatic elements are very good. I usually do not Tim Allen in the car, but this performance nails, mocking the Trek Kirk and Riker caricature without them. Alan Rickman is fantastic as ever. Tony Shalhoub is great, too, with a lovely understated humor. Sam Rockwell steals the show as terror Fleegman Guy (crew # 6). There are so many little things that are just for Trek fans, like the ridiculously-Rube Goldbergesque dangers on the road corridor to the strength of the core. Even if you do not like Star Trek, you will probably find the film: Galaxy Quest funny when mocks the venerable television and Galaxy Quest Adventure franchise. But it is not only a travesty Trek. That is a story with great acting and comic timing. My wife is not a Trek or even a fan of science fiction, but I love this movie. This is the last backup. |
| "Galaxy Quest" is an excellent feel-good comedy for the whole family to enjoy. Although the original concept of the DVD movie Galaxy Quest is no more, the story is even more enjoyable and entertaining enough, mainly thanks to the cast seemed to be enjoying them during filming. Tim Allen is surprisingly good as "William Shatner as Captain and Alan Rickman is perfect in its role. Sigourney Weaver perfectly mocks his own "Ripley" character from "Alien" films and plays the opposite of this character. All the characters are fun and entertaining because they are human rather than heroic. It is also a good space villain stereotype. Ideally the DivX film Galaxy Quest makes fun of "Star Trek" fans and everything else around it. Well, I'm not sure if they make fun of the correct way to say it is more like holding a mirror, without the full Trekkies seem silly. But it is a comedy about a few laughs? Well, there are some laughs, but this DVD movie Galaxy Quest is more than feel good, fun, entertaining comedy instead of a hilarious one. The DivX film Galaxy Quest is also known to be emotional right now. Otherwise contribute to the greatness of this Galaxy Quest Adventure film are the special effects and music composed by David Newman. For Grabthar hammer ... what a movie. 9 / 10 |
| (May contain Spoilers!) Therefore, it is obviously so blatant, and very painful in some ways, a "Star Trek" DVD movie Galaxy Quest parody. Disgruntled actors, an actress whose sole purpose are six inches below his chin, a British colleague from Shakespeare to syndicated science fiction (Actor hell for some), boy genius, and totally false leads egomanical delirious ethnic chips. But hot damn hilarious! One need not be a Star Trek fan to understand the endless line of in-jokes, but it helps. My mother, who does not catch an episode of Trek, if held at gunpoint, he laughed hard enough to mourn the universal comedy - sarcasm, cynicism and a nobody would be funny - but she looked at me like although they were completely crazy when I laughed, hard, just a Trekkie jokes with a sense of humor would find funny. It was painful ... well, as the four "Questarians. Almost hurts to see. Not because I was bad, mind, but because the uniforms of the house (many of them not very good in color or stitch and some very amazingly accurate) for the bad (and sometimes expert) applied makeup fans to the inability to differentiate between actor and character, it is true! I've never been to a convention, nor has a uniform, but I know I do. And they know that most people have to be compromised. This Galaxy Quest Adventure is hilarious, if you've never seen a single episode of Star Trek, or that happen to have a uniform regulation of the fleet on the back of your wardrobe. |
| I am with a score of 10. The reason is simple - I've never seen a parody of comedy that works without vomiting, urinary and fecal jokes, parodying a comedy that need not make fun of George Bush toilet. Where the future of many serious science fiction movies difficult to explain how the futuristic technology, Galaxy Quest, in a clever way allows the viewer to know (its fun) that science fiction writers sometimes accidentally something correctly guess functional. Where other films, either as represented extraterrestres hematophagous carnivorous monsters, or as peace-loving beautiful creatures, as such, easily distinguishable by appearance, Galaxy Quest, in a clever way that makes surprisingly ET and curves. Jokes about nonsense of equipment / machinery, jokes about "cult comments, nods and eye-blink to clear other series or movies of worship, and a crowd of mocking comments directed at series and movies - all of which adds a lot of fun of this fantastic movie. So in some way to wrap - I recommend this film, is probably the best it can be. |
| Fresh, funny comedies are hard to do - which is why we see so few of them. "Galaxy Quest" is original, fun and exciting. Tim Allen has a list of acceptable level in the first satire of Star Trek (and its sequels apparently eternal). Gene Roddenberry would have laughed his head. |
