| John Lennon made the alleged hypocrisy ended up getting him killed? That is one of the Gunning issues that are brought to the Line of Fire film in the well-executed "The murder of John Lennon." The film focuses on the deranged adult life of Lennon murderer Mark David Chapman and his attachment daily with the literary work "The Catcher in the Rye." It's part of his days of young adults who reside in Hawaii and arrived at Chapman of the fatal trip to Lennon's home in Manhattan. Writer-director Andrew Piddington does a credible job in representing Chapman plodding disintegration of the manic madness. However, it was a bit out of nowhere a man with his underdeveloped, slow script. Imagine unknown Jonas Ball stealing the show as the mad Chapman. I am sure it was a hard day's night of Jonas in the evolution of that character. Ball had to have balls to do so. It is one of the best performances of the year to act by a player with a surname testicular. Piddington also wisely incorporates the theme of the hunger for social acceptance and popularity within the deviousness Chapman, and how the man could be catapulted into literary theory obsessively in low self-esteem states. I do not think that many fans of the Beatles are twisting and shouting jubilantly with a vision of "The murder of John Lennon," but it must do more as an objective description of a fable helter skelter. | On the night of Dec. 8, 1980, John Lennon, co-founder of The Beatles, was shot dead in front of his New York City apartment. Mark David Chapman (Jonas Ball), more or less a loner in search of an identity to grab on their own, decided to induce great attention to itself. Ending their shift security guard in Hawaii, which flies to New York City with the full intention of killing John Lennon. This is a love-hate relationship ... Chapman loved music, but also designed to be a false Lennon because of all their material things. Camping outside John's apartment in the Dakota, Chapman did not receive an autograph. He already descending into madness persist that he would put five bullets into Lennon. How does this representation is highly debatable, but the same riveting. Others in the cast: Mie Omori, Krishan Fairchild, Robert C. Kirk, Gunter Stern and Joe Rosario. |
