| For me this DivX film Night on Earth is the best of Jarmusch and one of my favorite movies ever. The reason is simple: it is original, yes, this DVD film Night on Earth is one of the most original films in a lot of years, the five stories, the five different cities and it is only in one night, which to me is excellent and impressive because it is Jarmusch the only filmmaker who can do that. About the movie: my favorite is the story with a Roberto Benigni that takes place in Rome, the reason is Benigni, because for me this is the fun and action of Benigni and the story is great, when the count Benigni his story about the sheep is just too funny and, of course, the other five are great stories. The other story that I loved is the one that takes place in New York with "Helmut" is very funny and I think we want Jarmusch: funny and great stories with a message like the message that takes place in Paris, the Pentecost blind girl and the taxi driver. Well this all I can say about a great Night on Earth Drama movie and I must say that I hope that you can see this movie: Night on Earth and enjoy Roberto Benigni, Winona Ryder and more (yes the cast is great). | Jim Jarmusch does for films like Tom Waits for no music, no wonder that uses his music in his films. I've seen this film: Night on Earth again and again, its really wonderful. We glimpse a side of the world that is the same no matter where you go. The world is round so no matter where you go you're always in the middle of it. In this regard, take a taxi in different cities around the world and although the cultures are clearly different, there are some blues in each event. I can not do what one is my favorite, they all have a certain magic to that totally captures the mood of the country we are in the mood, although it is that of the night when not much seems to be happening really, except in our taxis. Each scene in this Night on Earth Drama film is a masterpiece, no matter what country Jarmusch takes us too. Of course I Benigni is unnecessary to mention that a little more of a superstar, but in fact it is the blind girl in Paris. Great music, great photography, great acting, its all good. Its magic! |
| A fantastic piece of entertainment: five short stories, five cities, four languages. That's it. This Night on Earth Drama has no message, but it portrays five regions of the world most sensitive. The episode of LA is the weakest. It is not bad but has a big problem: it is the first. People begin to see the film: Night on Earth and expect something sensational. This first episode can not show anything spectacular, only first-class nature of the act. There are no big surprises or twists, the episode is not particularly funny or anything. Honestly, when I saw the first few minutes of this Night on Earth Drama I thought, `O my dear, I'm going to sleep! Then the story came NY. This made me laugh real hard, and Armin Mueller Stahl who made one of my favorite actors. I started to love this movie, and I was well prepared for the Paris episode, that is, in my opinion the best, most of them comply. I found the story of Roberto Benigni episode rather stupid, but his talent in exaggerating (and he did even seven years before the 1999 Oscar ceremony!) Composed by her. Then, the stark contrast: The most animated episode is followed by the dreariest. Finnish workers say other stories of their lives, each trying to say the saddest. | Since I have almost seventeen years of experience in the taxi as a dispatcher and driver, I have to say that "Night on Earth" is one of my favorite movies! This Night on Earth movie gives a very real and funny portrait of life in this line of work. I have met people who were given great opportunities, and rejected them. Personally, I have kicked drunken idiots in my taxi. I've had people tell me that blind path to take. I have had people who were so "and" tell her life story. This is a Night on Earth Drama movie that portrays what the driving taxis is, and is not limited to the U.S.. People are the same all over the world! This DVD movie Night on Earth is not yet available on DVD in the U.S., but I really hope it will be soon! |
| I suppose that people often talk about the beloved New York and Rome stories, but hated the series of meetings in Helsinki, or vice versa, or whatever. This probably comes from the reflection of the whole Night on Earth movie as belonging to a single genre - drama, comedy, satire. If you take each story by itself, however, with an open mind, you will find yourself being entertained (especially) in five different ways. Although, of course, we all have our favorites. I wondered why there was a brief segment was not established in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan - to make it truly global. Of course, it would be the night, at the same time, on that side of the world. Jarmusch should have done anyway. Some think the Night on Earth Drama movie is too long. But this is obviously a Night on Earth Drama film that does not need to see in a single session and, indeed, for the reason stated above, is perhaps best seen a little at a time. |
| No one I ever mention this Night on Earth Drama film has heard of him, much less seen! I tried to see Thelma and Louise in the movies when night came on Earth, but since it was sold out, I saw this place - what a stroke of luck! The DivX film Night on Earth is actually 5 short films from around twenty minutes, each trip into a taxi, which will take place at the same time in 5 cities around the world, from LA to Helsinki, via New York, Paris and Rome. Without ruining the surprises figure (its unexpectedness is one of its pleasures), the DivX film Night on Earth includes many emotions. Sometimes it's absolutely hilarious, in others it is sad and touching. It's pacy, yet considered the characters are well painted, both in writing and acting, and the fascinating story lines still punchy. There are some sub-titles, by the way, but please do not let you out. It is not one of the intellectuals "are not smart I" movies. If you like the films of its kind, well-written, well-acted, intelligent, thought provoking yet accessible, and with a great soundtrack (Tom Waits), and then Night on Earth is for you! Share! |
