I think David Lynch visualization of the story was very nice to do (especially when compared to the last, made the TV version). Is managed so that the viewer at any story directly through the senses, as if it guides you through a dream (although rather a strange and a bizarre). The story, however, is really horrible. Now, I have not read the book, so it is possible that the dune, the novel is much more exciting that the movie was. But it seems to me that the only verifiable moral to be drawn from history that leaders can justify their violent actions by calling themselves the Messiah and the universe can be divided between good and evil, the good ones are young and handsome and are often bad and ugly to carry a lot of black. That kind of moralizing, which serves as the structure of the story, I find intolerable. And if it seems that the structure rotten to me and, just as everything else that stems from the fact that I can impress much. David Lynch gives the direction of this movie a lot of spices, but nothing can bring life to this barren wasteland.
Dune. First, I only knew about the games. Then I learned there were books, and after that, there was a movie. I am talking 2000 here, and I only have seen recently. More than 20 years after the film was made, and seeing that in this era of very clever special FX and 3D view that makes it a little dated. Is that necessarily bad? No, the movie is pretty good actually. But the problem with it, that is, you can not tell the whole story of dune-in just a film that should have been a two or even three pieces as LOTR. People completely unfamiliar with the history of world-Dunes and wonder after seeing that: 'What the hell was that? "While I say," which was really very nice. "The budget was no less than $ 40 million, huge huge for 1984. And shows: the costumes, ships, scenery and worm-fx are great. If it would be this year, probably would be brilliant. In 1984 it was somewhat limited due to technological limitations, are not creative. Yes, I liked it, and once again adds a new dimension of understanding to me the story of Dune. Spices, houses, the Fremen, worms, everything is a little clearer now. 7 out of 10, only good.
