Three college slackers, Anderson Lee, Cory Jones and Nelson Elliot, plan a good time away from their college by heading out to Daytona Beach for Spring Break. But along they way, they get detoured into the small, off-the-map, town of Pleasant Valley, Georgia, where they, along with three drifters, Joey, Kat and Ricky, and biker Malcolm and his girlfriend Leah, are welcomed as guests of honor by the cheerful but sinister-looking Mayor Buckman for the annual Pleasant Valley Guts and Glory Festival. Unknown to the eight unsuspecting Northerners, Mayor Buckman and the residents have more in store where they plan to use the festival as a blood ritual by separating the guests and killing them off one-by-one in ultra-gory fashion.

Oh, my God. What a stink. Of course, is supposed to be "over the top," but this unfortunate effort loses the brand around the world. Terrible acting, a lame and ridiculous plot "on hold". I think my teenage boys can do better with video-recorder (except that it probably had at least some interesting sexual intrigue). Predictable, unfunny, irredeemable (well, except for an indirect vision of a few decent tits). Anyone who thinks that this is an art-house, the needs of the therapy. Even the special effects are so special as the first Harry Hausen short. 2001 Maniacs? Yes, probably, the number of people around the world who thought this was OK.

I loved this movie. It's funny, and the death scenes are just damn awesome! I recommend this movie to anyone and everyone. Good stuff here. The people of Pleasant Valley are so cruel and very unusual. You were either on the face or the murderers to victims, which way you go to the movie is still great. The final was fun and bloody. 2001 Maniacs is definitely a good rebels in the south horror movie. 2001 Maniacs following is the original two thousand Maniacs very well. I was very true. The Twilight Zone twist was quite good, to ensure that. He was mediocre, but overall the film was great. 2001 Maniacs is a fun movie, you enjoy it.

After a terrible spate of remakes that we have in the past, something that will go down in history as a classic of all time! 2001 Maniacs is a nonstop thrill ride and with the masses of respect to Mr Lewis, Tim Sullivan has done a great job.I am a big fan of the original is understandably a little apprehensive when I heard they were doing this movie.Believe me there is no need to worry about is an awesome movie! There are a lot of blood and guts to keep horror fans happy and we are certainly watching this comedy induced.When I found myself enjoying no doubt as much as the original without any doubt.Whether is released in cinemas uncut I do not know, my fingers are crossed! I wonder what could come .... possibly the next Feast of Blood? I hope so. Does anyone fancy a spit roast?

I am really tired of this kind of horror film --- and slick and shiny as hard trying to be cute and witty.This is just another waste of time in a horror fan of the quest to find the good people horror films. These HG Lewis ripped off and still managed to make a lame movie. A group of children from the university at the forefront of Daytona on spring break and Detour get through a small southern town and are guests of the city BBQ.You can quite figure out the rest of heads of rubber thrown there.Lots water looking for blood and body parts here and there.The norm trash cinema stuff.A fool almost nonexistent plot and sub-par and not acting in suspense all brands in this film as a lame wet noodle.Even the few bare breasts lying on the movie.Robert could not save this Englund is a fairly decent job with the lines he was foolish, but all the other friends in this movie were pretty rotten actors.The writing was horrible --- and only a pile Lines and catchphrase intended to sound fresh ensartar together in one scene after another. I really hate horror movie directors who kept churning out this kind of cutesy stupid horror movies full of dim-bulb adolescent only around waiting to get killed, allegedly in some new way horrible. I've seen enough dead teenagers to last a lifetime.It 's time for the horror film directors to move along the path to something else.
