And who says Jean-Claude Van Damme can not act? Huh? This excellent film of survival and friendship shows all the anti-Van Dammers what to expect. In my opinion, Jean-Claude deserves an Oscar for this. I rate this a definite 10 in my KICK ASS SCALE!

Ah yes the French Foreign Legion, something every student with a sense of adventure has been thinking about joining, and some films have devoted a lot to the celluloid. Jean Claude Van Damme made a previous film set in the context of the legion: Awol (Aka Lionheart), but this is much higher. In fact Awol and LEGIONNAIRE are complete opposites from a Van Damme has fleeing from the regiment to become a prize fighter, while the other has Van Damme as a prize fighter who runs to join the legion! But as I said LEGIONNAIRE is the best movie. It `s nice in a very cliché, and I mean very cliché, no cliche is left unturned, but at least no` t see Van Damme pulls off his shirt and the Arab countries participating in hordes punched If you liked MARCH OR DIE you ll 'as this movie

This movie never stops with the action! Great plot, acting. This film is a potential for a continuation of the story, but Van Damme is known for its aftermath. It's very bad this movie was never given a chance in the box office in America

A different style Van Damme movie, using no fancy kicks or any martial arts moves. JCVD plays a legionnaire in this, as in 'Lionheart'. It has a boxing match in this film, in the beginning. Well-run, and good story-line. It's another good movie that Van Damme is very nice. Recommended for all.
