| Some movies are so bad that you can swear in front of the Christmas films. This Christmas stars Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick as New England neighbors to spark a feud when one of them goes overboard with the Christmas decorations. DeVito plays Buddy who wants his house to be seen as "Mi Tierra" (You know Goggle Earth?) And outer space. Two credible players have reached only a low at the time of his career. "Oh dear, Christmas is the most important day in the year." Give me a break. He was so bad it's so unnatural, lame and cringe-worthy. Nasty fight, but the neighbors realize that Christmas is sharing. Family resolves conflicts and meets for a meal, decorating the house with lights. The whole city is making merry, and ends by singing "O Holy Night." How contrived, pretentious and hypocritical can get a Christmas movie? It's Christmas, so please at least be honest and realistic in that regard. The GC was so poorly done. The screenwriters forgot that their audience is really sophisticated. As if we all know the "true spirit" of Christmas is about being together with our family and neighbors. | This film started with good intentions. The small town was pleasant. With the actors in this movie I thought it would have been much better. How sad that this movie had a weak script and plot and far-fetched situations such as the manner in which DeVito 'sell' Broderick a car. There was no chemistry between the characters. Evil attempts of subplots that his relationship with the family Broderick were mere attempts. I am a fan of Chevy Chase in Christmas holiday and wanted to see at least a Christmas' decorate war "-this was not even close to the great humor and characters of 'holiday'. I also dare to see another movie with DeVito and Matthew Broderick in them. |
| Each year there is a Christmas movie release, and it is always the typical family film that is quite annoying and predictable, in fact, has not really been any good movies last Christmas Home Alone and Christmas holidays. When I saw the trailer for the dome cover, I was very excited, because I am a fan of Danny and Matthew, are the two great comedy actors and this seemed like a great movie at Christmas and how people obsessively on holidays. Steve is a family man that he intends to make the holidays brighter for their children and depressed over the shadow wife, who is also the love for the community. A new family moves in across the street, Buddy and his family are really nice people, but Steve rub the wrong way, especially because Buddy is upset that his house can not be seen from outer space and figures Christmas lights that were fixed that problem. While all the other family members of both boys are getting along great, the kids end up competing with each other to see who will be the King of Christmas in the city. Danny Mateo and you would think that would be the perfect comedy duo did not really cause anything that grabbed me and the jokes were fairly predictable. While this film is above all a slight disappointment, in fact, I would say that there are some good laughs and little of it there is a nice Christmas movie, but as I said, just stick with the classic Christmas comedy. 5 / 10 |
