| I have seen all the documentaries Moore and this is one of the best away. None of the fireworks of the controversial Fahrenheit, is a film that examines the lives of individuals and Moore simply allows plenty of space for their stories to be told. This is a very balanced in the American health care system and is a documentary with optimism and hope despite being very dark in places. Moore is trying really hard to believe that to talk to the American public in their films - which frames problems with his wit and a deep sense of wanting things to change. Hopefully, this will have some effect in the United States where it is most needed. I have heard that even Republicans have come out of cinemas moved by his message and perhaps a little concerned about what he has to say about some elements of the U.S. system. The masterstroke of the film is the revelation that Moore secretly paid the medical bills of the wife of his most strident critic web. It's the perfect time at the end of the film and is a really moving moment in the film. The fact that Moore moves apparently some people despise him for being motivated by love of his country and at the same time filled with a feeling of anger in certain injustices not only confirms that he is doing something right, but also warns us about of how screwed up people are the values. A film for lovers of the truth everywhere. |
| Wow, I do not know what to say, I just see the whole movie. I'm from Canada, with Medicare, and I think I feel sorry for you Americans. Yes, it is true that our system is not perfect, but after seeing a man who chose to return to his fingers, I feel a lot more thankful. My son and I have never had to wait to be seen in an emergency situation and have received the highest quality of care, regardless of my financial situation. For each and every person in the United States, you must do something for yourselves. Demand better health care because their fellow Americans are dying. It's not fun to pay for someone else's health if they are not considered sick, but the alternative? Watch the movie and make your own mind. You do not have a Michael Moore like to hear what you're saying. |
| I've seen a lot of movies that either make fun or try to illustrate the stupidity of America, but none convinced me that unless I saw Sicko. How can people with this?! The medical system portrayed in this film is worse than here in Romania! Basically, it talks about the medical system is purchased and used by insurance companies to trick people into paying huge sums of money for any medical care, regardless of whether they have medical insurance or not. Then there are examples of Canadians, French, British and Cuba health care systems, which are, as I believe it should be, free and high quality. And the logic is very simple, even if one decides to ignore the very emotional examples presented by Moore: the people who make money by not taking care of not taking care of you. Take care! |
