I have nothing good to say about What Women Want. I thought the movie was in bad taste. It was humourless. It's boring, is long, it was not smart, and never again was interesting. Gibson may have been at their worst moment all here. Helen Hunt and Mel Gibson have both chemical and oil and water. The main character is manipulative and not worth any sympathy ever. When he got beaten by a lightning strike that should have died. At least that would have made the movie shorter. I really celebrate the feminine gender in quite high regard, but if this is what passes for romance for women and men for that matter, I have lost the respect of almost everyone. And really, the last scene between Hunt and Gibson was a great cliche. Helen Hunts should be kicked him to the curb, after all the s ** t you did with it. Instead it plays the heroine. Just awful. Nothing in this movie is half decent distance, except for the fact that they will never have to sit through it ever again in my life. And I will not. A Big Fat ZERO out of ten. Negative points if possible. |
It is not easy to start from an idea like this fun, write a script for 90 minutes, some humor and get away with a perfect baking. In fact, it's easy to go wrong somewhere along the way, last too long, doing slapstick too much, or too serious, and then after 25 minutes people know they should not have paid for their seats. This movie - about a man suddenly endowed with hearing the thoughts of women - is a favorite repeat at Christmas, and still see that (ok, not in its entirety, I have a life too) instead of changing channels because it's still funny. Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt are really good there, who coined only wish there were more and unpretentious (but with a little depth and the message) as a comedy about this. |
What Women **** We discover the importance of selflessness, generosity and human decency in the midst of the superficiality of the world in the production of Nancy Marchand, through the character development of an egocentric, chauvinistic executive advertising (Mel Gibson), which has life to get him ... until he begins to discover their own qualities unusual. After a day at work, he accidentally electrocute conclusive and has the ability to hear the thoughts of women. Along for the ride is the hot-shot business woman (Helen Hunt) who offers to take the job of promoting Gibson has worked for. The film is played for laughs, and working out well enough to make it rewarding. |
What man does not want the power to read the thoughts of women? Your probably right with the power to fly and make money. However, that power does not want to shave your legs and using pantyhose. In any case, Mel Gibson put a good performance. No longer "Riggs' most famous of all the" Lethal Weapon "series, Mel wants instead to work at a company that sells products for women. Through some accidents (see: "Spider-Man") has acquired power. His evil is lost. Of all women, Mel goes to Helen Hunt. Although not the best fish in the sea, which fits the role. And despite discover, after Mel loses his powers, which "stole" their ideas, she still wants him. Romance as a fairy tale, but not always based on reality. However, it is a nice movie. Highly recommended. "B +" |
