| Michael Feifer writes and directs this "untold" story revolves around the horrific serial murders of thirteen women in Boston in the early sixties. Police thought they had once and for all captured the infamous Boston strangler Albert DeSalvo (David Faustino). The women were sexually assaulted and left is not displayed in more shame and strangled with their own mean Nylon. DeSalvo, psychotic and proud of the reputation he was convicted and later found stabbed to death in prison. The police were never fully convinced the murders were committed by one man. This movie wants you to think you really know that the murders of other DeSalvo. This film does not have the intensity or even the interest they hold for the choke BOSTON 1968 starring Tony Curtis. Faustino and is not a damn sure Tony Curtis. His casting as DeSalvo seems so ridiculous, and sometimes comes out as a cocky buffoon rather than a "psychopath" murderer. I was waiting for this movie to get better and never did. Also in the cast: Andrew Divoff, Kostas Sommer, Joe Torry and Corin Nemec. |
| Brutal killing, tension, scares, beautiful women, and a well-thought history make this a 10 in my book. For any of those of you who are unfamiliar with Mike Feifer's past true crime / serial murderer productions (Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield, Chicago Massacre Richard Speck, and the next Ted Bundy) who takes a quick name for himself same as one of the best directors of horror in the company. In "The Boston strangler: The untold story" Feifer explores the dark psychology of consumption Albert Desalvo and brings a whole new take on the story by expanding on the possibility that Albert Desalvo was not really choke in Boston. The film suggests that Desalvo was seeking notoriety as their motivation to confess to the crimes committed by the choke and brings in another possible suspect (played to a tee Kostas summer) as the true choke. This theory was debated for years in newspapers following the strangler murders, but has since faded from public memory until now. A MUST SEE for the hardcore horror crowd and the real crime! |
| "Choke Boston: THE UNTOLD STORY" is a poorly acted, terribly written, low-budget trash film. This film fails on many levels, it is difficult to know where to start. The acting is on the level one would expect from a theater in high school. As to why Bud Bundy was cast as a lead in this role, I never know. However, to the credit of the actor, who did not have much to work with. The writing in this film is one of the worst I've ever seen. We are forced to sit through many unnecessary scenes and terrible, selfish, completely realistic dialogue sequences. I do not see this movie. Doing almost anything for an hour and a half would be a better use of their time. |
