| Watched this film at home the other day. It was not great. He has a real project of students feel rather than an independent film. However, I set the bar low, and in my opinion, was not as horrible as some are doing here sound. This is a travesty, so in reality it is not doing much of the story on its own. This is a lot of comments on the topics that you find in a lot of "high-brow" independent films. That made him a very good job. I like independent films. But if not, you probably would not like this movie a lot. I laughed, because the devices exaggerated and nuances only accepts one of these 'Indy' movies. I think it's almost as smart as it makes fun of movies (which never was made in a spiteful way), even if it's not the funniest film of all. But if you do not watch the Registrar or Amelie or Memento, why would you be angry at this movie? It's funny. No, Airplane! Gag-a-minute funny, but it's worth seeing if you enjoy your fodder. But if you think movies are too good to be joked about moving forward. |
| The problem with this film is that it is parodying something that really can not parody or not to be parody. Parody of indie movies means that there is a style for an indie film that has indie film. But that's not the case that this is why the film loses much humor that comes from a great comedy like Airplane. A disaster movie, a superhero or a movie genre has a similar structure that is similar in all movies of its kind. However, an indie movie does not have a similar structure. Earlier Weinstein period piece is very different from a movie that Tarantino is very different from a mumblecore movie. To say that all of Sundance films are equal means that there is a formula for the Sundance film that simply has to follow and you can get at Sundance. Perhaps that is what the writer is trying to say. There may be some truth, but which has not found the vehicle to lampoon. |
