| I have very fond memories of the first movie Gremlins, but this was a very good also. Now, I have found the first Gremlins to be one of the greatest films I've seen. Gremlins 2 realizes that it can not live up to the first great film. Therefore, parodies itself. With the mutations of the Gremlins Brain Gremlin to Gremlin to stick to Spider Gremlin Electro Gremlin, each is unique and interesting. The plot is again quite simple. Gizmo after the owner dies, falls by scientists and led to the skyscrapers that Billy, its former owner, who happens to work at present. They meet, but inevitably ZIG gets wet again and the new form Gremlins, including a new leader named Mohawk, which is reminiscent of the line of the first movie, and the crazy and funny Lucas. This film is hilarious, but the former is much better. My biggest complaint about this movie is the work of the effects. I understand what Rick Baker was trying to do what so diverse that it would not be back Chris Walas, but I do not like the way that some of them expected. I guess the comic tone of this movie called for more funny looking Gremlins instead of seeking the most bizarre of the first movie. So, overall, is a very good film with great laughs, but not at the height of the first film. |
| "Gremlins 2: The new batch" is the sequel to 1990 to 1984, the box office success of "Gremlins", which is one of my all time favorite movies. The sequel is not as good as the original, but its not bad either. In this case, the filmmakers did something different. They tried to make this a more a comedy than the original. The first film was fun, but also fear. "Gremlins 2" plays more like a Mel Brooks-type movie with some of the jokes that are in it. But his only fear. In addition, I have a bit tedious to see the Gremlins do some of the same things that made him the first time, such as drinking, smoking, etc. However, this is mostly an entertaining movie that I wish I had done better at the box office . I think if there had been three years after the original instead of six years, would have done better. In between the two "Gremlins" movies were all ripoffs ( "Critters," "Ghoulies" and its sequels) and in 1990 became moviegoers tired of everything. But the two "Gremlins" movies are much better than "Critters" and "Ghoulies" movies. A good job by the director Joe Dante. *** (Of four) |
| Gremlins 2 is filled with laughter, special effects, and hundreds of references to the movie. Look closely at many of the actions and background of a line coming into the film. There are several references to famous movies that you might not catch the first time. Invasion of the Administration Snatchers, Marathon Man, 42nd Street, Batman, and many others. The entire movie is a great laugh. A great movie to see and take nothing seriously. |
| I rate both films exactly the same, but for very different reasons, the first movie was a pleasant break fusion of horror and comedy with great effect. When I saw that was not going to be this sequel 6 years later, I was very pleased indeed that it had negotiated was not the sharpness of writing and satirical structure that Dante director for the public to watch. Throwing in as many movie references, as it may, Gremlins 2 may have a bias that the satyrical in the heart, but of course the fun of the first film segues well here to make this one of the finest Intelligent and more sequels on the market. | Gremlins 2 has to be another fun movie. I give this another excellent score of 10 to 10. I enjoyed this better than the first. I really liked the Talking Gremlin and the female Gremlin. This was an event in 1990. I hope that there Gremlins 3 because I have an idea. Gizamo the Mogwai falls in love with a woman Mogwai, which are reproduced gremilns by accident and they all have to defeat the little beasts. |
