| The idea of "jumping" is really pure and the Jumper Adventure movie creatively and thoroughly explore the possibilities, given the premise. Besides the incredible effects, so you have to do this in the theaters because of the incredible landscapes and city scenes. From the Coliseum in Rome, to the pyramids in Egypt, if you love to travel, this film: Jumper will take you around the world. OK, this was not the most stimulating movies. As for the quality of acting, with all the action, there is no provision of the scenes to show a good performance. You go to a Jumper movie like this to be entertaining for a while, not for intellectual stimulation, and both are valid forms of entertainment (unlike what other reviewers may pose). In addition, Samuel Jackson is great and I always like his role and having Rachel Bilson to the eye candy does not hurt either. |
| Incredible effects, swooping camera angles, and a more interesting to make defects for the film: Jumper - namely Hayden Christensen - reprising the gloomy, wounded, misunderstood, petulant anti-hero role he played so ineffective in the Star Wars prequels. The other performances were sound (Samuel L Jackson's hair included), with Jamie Bell particularly nervous as the Griffin. His performance adds to the frenetic energy of the Jumper Adventure film and every scene without him is the worse for it. While the pace and energy of the Jumper film keeps you glued to your seat, it is only on reflection that I realized how unsatisfactory ultimately, the story was - leaves me with an "is that all?" kind of feeling. The answer, of course, will probably be 'No' as this Jumper Adventure seems to have been made with the idea of sequels firmly in sight. All in all - a well-made film, with scenes inside the Colosseum worth the price of admission alone - if only want someone else to cast in the lead! |
| Having seen the movie, I was prepared for the plot problems from reading reviews here. When I first heard they were going to make the DivX Movie Jumper of the book, I was waiting for him. Once again I've been Bamboozled by the crack heads who write in the trash of Hollywood. Here are spoilers! For those of us who have read the books of this DVD film Jumper is an abomination! The first mistake was not to collect the talent that Hayden for the role. The second was that instead of continuing the book, which is easy to do, that re-imagine how the story should go. Introduce another jumper, Griffin, that if you read the third book in the series, is a unique individual, but was never mentioned in the first book. They kill in front of his father, who made his mother in one of the Palidins bad. That when they finally met, she said that loves him, but will give you a head start before she tries to kill him? WTF? They do so in a cruel, self-centered jerk. If you want to see how bad was the movie, just read the book. If you've never read any of the books, and I think this was a great movie, please make the world a favor and begin to go to the library. |
| This was not a bad movie, but it was not a good film. It's fun, yes, but thats about it. If you would have been tied up loose ends, this may have been a generally decent and enjoyable film. If the director had been standing outside taking questions, which would have been busy for a while. Why Haydens character have the ability to jump? How do you get it? Why so, as if there will be a sequel? Millie Why go to Rome with David the same day they re-unite, ten years later? Too many unanswered questions for a DVD film Jumper of this genre. His visually pleasing, and the movie: Jumper takes you to places that some people only dream of. What was the point of Diane Lane as the nature of Haydens mother? Why why why. For an action-adventure film, which was mediocre. I give this film: Jumper 6 / 10 and suggest waiting for a dollar rent. |
| I am a big fan of science fiction, and was very intrigued by the idea of "Jumper." Samuel L. Jackson always gives credibility and I was interested to see Hayden Christensen, for the first time since Star Wars (I have not seen "Awake" yet). I persuaded a friend to come with me on the basis of the special effects in the trailer. The plot goes like this; boy discovers that has the power to teleport himself. Child learns to control his powers. Chico lives idyllic life of leisure and travel until he discovers that people are chasing him, and that is trapped in a war between people who can teleport, and those who hunt them. Unfortunately, "Jumper" is not much more than a geography tour. The story is well established, and the main character behaves in a credible manner. If you've ever imagined having the power of teleportation, which are bought on this premise big time. Unfortunately, the DVD film Jumper is not based on that premise, and action sequences aside is quite boring. My friend fell asleep! There is no chemistry between David and Milly, and their romantic relationship is unrealistic. Jackson has the same character that always does, Rooker is underutilized Jamie Bell, but adds some much-needed boost when he arrives. All in all if you want to leave your brain at home for a night, Jumper might be for you, but I would recommend waiting for the DVD. |
