| Emma is a true romance. If you like soppy things, accused of genius and madness, you will love this movie! His faithful to the novel, which is very important, with a few laps for fun added. Gwen is not one of my FAVE actreesess but to do justice to a role for all he had to offer in spades. She shines in a role that I think no other actress could have done proper justice a. Jeremy Northam, as the hero. what surprised you? I've never seen openly but handsome devil! What role can do right for you! He seems as good as the sensible, Regal Mr. K, I'm looking at him, literally, in a new light. Romantic and makes excellent initiative. The charm and character that he brings to his role is wonderful! Ewan McGregor, Greta Sacchi brings in the rest. a good cast. A good movie. If you are a fan of Jane Austen, watch this film, along with Pride and Prejudice - and most importantly, buying books. | This is an adaptation OK, but not as good as the version on TV. The actors are generally good, but I thought Jeremy Northam humid place as Mr. Knightley, particularly in comparison with strong brand in the TV version. Gwyneth Paltrow is fine and his English accent is quite good, but again, I preferred the Emma Kate Beckinsale. There are excellent supporting performances by Toni Collette, Juliet Stephenson and Thompson Sophy. The script is too often played for laughs, the book is a comedy, but there are many set piece gags here, and also that of Frank Churchill subplot is almost entirely absent. My biggest criticism is the landscape. It is too exuberant. England has never been the case. It looks like a box of chocolate. Only Americans would like this. Despite these criticisms, I liked this movie, but we recommend adjusting the TV more. |
