| Roland Emmerich has been in a bit of problems lately, as films like Independence Day, which seems to have lost his touch. The Day After Tomorrow is a visual feast, but unfortunately there was little characters in a thin fabric. I had hoped that 10,000 BC would be a return to top form for the beleaguered leader. As usual, the CGI was brilliant and all the waiting rooms of the highest quality, but that does not excuse the fact that this DivX film 10,000 BC is absolutely ridiculous. A dire plot and, again, speaking underdeveloped characters more stupid dialogue made this DVD film 10,000 BC even more incomprehensible. The by everyone, but some of the cast was at best average, with dialogue that their efforts even worse. Sitting through this 10,000 BC Adventure was enjoyable, but for the wrong reasons, laughing in a DVD movie 10,000 BC that is meant to be taken seriously is something I've never done before. A first for everything, then? Totally stupid and wrong headed, but pleasant if you change your brain before viewing. |
| I am quite surprised how many people are hitting historical inaccuracies of this movie, the use of English, its similarity to several other films and a happy ending. I had no trouble understanding this is not a historical documentary nor any signs that point to this DVD film 10,000 BC is the most original sensation of the year. When I was in the movie, I expected a history of Hollywood fiction with a bit of action and some entertaining special effects. Guess what I got? Yes, I have a history of Hollywood fiction with a bit of action and some entertaining special effects. That is all I aspire to be, works to the 10,000 BC movie and should not be a surprise to anyone thinking of sitting through it. On a side note, I hope the same people hitting this movie: 10,000 BC for its historical inaccuracies, the use of English and similarity to other works of Shakespeare slam go next, because these terms describe his most famous plays. As far as I know, no one speaks English in Shakespeare's 13th century Verona, Italy. Either listen, Tragicall The History of Romeus and Juliet by Arthur Brooke? Published before Shakespeare was still alive, I wonder if the "Romeo and Juliet" about her? The point is, 10,000 BC should be taken for what it is. It is two hours of entertainment in Hollywood. No surprises. |
| I do not understand why people are so negative. I really loved this movie. In fact, I wished that it had been a little bit more. For me, the 10,000 BC movie was hurries by. He wanted to know more about all the characters and want to haved already at each location. Most of the criticism comes from the fact that the film: 10,000 BC is not based on fact. So what? It is a story of fantasy. I assume that these people who criticize The Wizard of Oz because it is not based on facts. First, the 10,000 BC film is so beautiful especially the scenes in Egypt. The boat sailing through the Nile was wonderful. The special effects are good. The story, though simple, it made sense. I liked the Atlantis theme and I would have liked to see more of his background. Had a great, if not predictable end, but ultimately, a great movie! |
| Well, besides the historical inaccuracies that everyone has pointed out, this DVD film 10,000 BC is horrible acts, insipid dialogue, and plot a cliché that any moderately skilled elementary school kid could have written. What are the redeeming qualities of this movie? The landscape, some of the CGI, and that's it. In technical terms, I found it fun for all the publicity about this 10,000 BC Adventure is much worse than I could have imagined. Someone made a comment about the lighting in this movie. There were definitely inconsistencies in lighting, which is added to the list of things wrong with this DivX film 10,000 BC and feel like maybe this was a rushed project. I think if this 10,000 BC Adventure were made without any dialogue with the exception of the description, it would have been much more enjoyable as a whole. |
