| Many filmmakers have tried to make self-aware snapshot "of worship" Sci Fi / horror movies, but very few have pulled out to my satisfaction. Troma has been doing for years, but I have little time for most of its production, which usually are big titles in search of a good movie. "Murderer Klowns From Outer Space" is one of the most entertaining films of this kind I 've seen it. For me, the pace Troma Chiodo brothers at their own game. Yes, it is basically a one joke Killer Klowns from Outer Space Sci-Fi film (the title says it all), but it's a good joke, imaginatively executed. The cast are all more or less unknown to me - the TV series anonymous type - but they are sufficient, and the real star of the movie: Killer Klowns from Outer Space is anyway clowns. (Or should I say Klowns?) However, the veteran character actor John Vernon ( "Point Blank," Dirty Harry "," Animal House "," Chained Heat ", etc.) to eclipse the young players and it seems that Mooney has an explosive game, he hates poor local police of children. Another familiar face in the cast is Royal Dano, who certainly appeared to Vernon in 'The ban Josey Wales. The premise is ridiculous ... but this movie: Killer Klowns from Outer Space never takes itself too seriously. The jokes are predictable, but sometimes more often, highly intelligent and original. There are also some very inventive, funny how people are caught. But I can not say that I really loved this movie. Is the camp, but the humor is a very cruel edge to it. Very cruel people die and there is nothing funny about that. The clown makeup is frankly appalling and laughter are inducing nightmare. It was made in any budget, but there are some truly stunning scenery and costumes - looks like a big-budget movie. Most of the acting is OK. Snyder makes a very appealing heroine and Nelson is very good as a straight arrow cop. Cramer is the only disappointment - that overacts WAY too much. I'm giving it a 7 but I can not honestly say I liked it. It was a little too dark and brutal for me - but others might like. |

| How can it not be considered good? Dish Network is giving a check, but once I heard John Massari ingenious music and I saw my first dead clown with eyes, I was a fan. Not many laughs, but a lot of attempts, but when the laughs come, are huge (hey, I never liked clowns anyway). KKFOS Think like a cross between The Blob, Night of the Living Dead, and the Clinton Administration. Good co-bill would be the murderer of Return of Tomatoes. |
