| Boogie Nights was without a doubt the best Boogie Nights Drama film of 1997. I could see this Boogie Nights Drama movie over and over and over and still love it. I am not in the race to see who exaggerated romance / disaster epic Titanic again. The fact that Boogie Nights did not even receive a Best Picture nomination just goes to prove how narrow-minded and predictable is the Academy. Only Atom Egoyan for The Sweet Life of Robert Zemeckis and Contact was close to being as large as Boogie Nights. No other filmmaker in recent years has come even remotely close to making a DivX film Boogie Nights as good as that of Tarantino's Pulp Fiction - until now. Paul Thomas Anderson at height and success. Tarantino and John Travolta's career took a kick, PT Anderson has given Burt Reynolds startup that his career needed. Boogie Nights will also undoubtedly make stars Don Cheadle, Heather Graham and John Reilly. Overall, a wonderful film. The best since Pulp Fiction. Perhaps even better. |
