| Much better than most things that the horror was thrown our way these days. The premise of an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere is occupied by supernatural forces is not a new one, but it does not matter. What matters is the soundtrack, a good atmosphere, and a gradual but effective implementation of events. Yes, the Dead Birds Horror film tends to be a bit too slow in the first half, but while there is a feeling that something ominous, ie interesting will happen is never a problem. The effects are good, the direction is skillful, and the dialogue and acting are above-par for a horror film. The creatures do not seem too original, but at least they are not an umpteenth rehash of "Alein" monsters, I think we can all do without. There are some small problems with how the characters react in certain situations. The end is interesting: they have become demons at the time they entered the property? Or is it symbolic of the fact that all sinners, that is, murderers, therefore, automatically demons in a sense? The Civil War is undoubtedly the establishment quite unusual. |
| They seem to be a lot of people out there with less than complementary views of this DVD movie Dead Birds ... Speaking frankly, as an avid fan of the genre, 'Dead Birds' fear living sh ** Me! Director Alex Turner has done a near perfect example of what the modern horror can and should be, but not do it alone. The original script cooling fan admitted Ring Simon Barrett rhythm and style is well caught by Steve Yedlin the camera work. I hope to see more of Yedlin, adding layers of visual trickery of dead birds by making more efficient use of the shadow that I have seen in years. When combined with convincing performances by all the cast this makes for a great Dead Birds film sure creep away. Then there are the 5 seconds of footage dead bird Personally, I think it should be remembered right alongside Janet scene of the shower ... but I do not want to spoil it for you. Suffice it to say that if you do not freak right to F, check your pulse - you might already be dead! If anyone enjoys dead birds half as I did, let others know and lets get this DivX film Dead Birds the attention it deserves! |
| I just thought it was a large amount of wasted space between the "horror" scenes, making it more boring than it is needed, because it was quite good (except for Nicki Aycox, who can not act on anything!) . Michael Shannon was especially good, and perhaps the best thing about the movie. In addition to the slow movement of history, the lighting was not done well and the spectators could not see many of the objects or the background, and the house just does not seem as strange as it might have been. It's a good premise, but just kept twiddling my thumbs waiting for a thrilling scene, so there is very little. |
